1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session tokens. They help the site remember that you are signed in, keep tests secure, and remember preferences such as light or dark theme.
This policy should be read with our Privacy Policy. It is framed under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, not under the EU GDPR.
2. Cookies we use
Essential cookies (always needed)
Required for the website to function. They include session and authentication cookies (NextAuth), security cookies that help prevent fraud, and load-balancing cookies. You cannot use sign-in, checkout or assessments without these.
Preference storage
Theme (light or dark) is stored locally in your browser so the site can remember your choice. This is typically local storage rather than a third-party tracking cookie.
Payment checkout
When you pay, Razorpay may set cookies on the checkout window for security and to complete the transaction. Those cookies are governed by Razorpay's own policies.
Bot protection
Public forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile, which can set cookies or similar tokens to distinguish humans from automated traffic.
Note: we do not currently run Google Analytics or third-party advertising pixels on this website. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
3. Third-party cookies
Third parties that may set cookies when you use specific features:
Razorpay
Payment checkout and fraud checks. See Razorpay's privacy policy.
Cloudflare Turnstile
Bot protection on selected public forms.
4. How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop sign-in, payments and tests from working.
Note: there is no separate non-essential marketing cookie banner on this site because we do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. If we add optional analytics later, we will ask for a choice before setting those cookies.

Withdrawal: you can clear cookies and local storage at any time; you may need to sign in again.
